چکیده
Reciprocal transformations associated with admitted conservation laws were originally used to derive invariance properties in non-relativistic gasdynamics and applied obtain reduction tractable canonical forms. They have subsequently been shown diverse physical applications nonlinear systems, notably the analytic treatment of Stefan-type moving boundary problem linking inverse scattering systems integrable hierarchies soliton theory. Here, invariance under classes reciprocal relativistic is be linked a Lie group procedure.

Lie Group Transformations of Objects in Images
Suppose we take a set of greyscale images obtained from videophotography of a moving object in three dimensions, such as an aeroplane, and suppose we compute moments or fourier descriptors, or some other set of smooth features of the resulting image to get a point in a feature space Fn. Then provided we compute enough moments or other descriptors, i.e. provided n is big enough, and provided the...
متن کاملVariationality of Four-Dimensional Lie Group Connections
This paper gives a comprehensive analysis of the inverse problem of Lagrangian dynamics for the geodesic equations of the canonical linear connection on Lie groups of dimension four. Starting from the Lie algebra, in every case a faithful four-dimensional representation of the algebra is given as well as one in terms of vector fields and a representation of the linear group of which the given a...
متن کاملAn Unsupervised Algorithm For Learning Lie Group Transformations
We present several theoretical contributions which allow Lie groups to be fit to high dimensional datasets. Transformation operators are represented in their eigen-basis, reducing the computational complexity of parameter estimation to that of training a linear transformation model. A transformation specific “blurring” operator is introduced that allows inference to escape local minima via a sm...
متن کاملSpaces with a Compact Lie Group of Transformations
Introduction. A topological group © is said to act on a topological space 1{ if the elements of © are homeomorphisms of 'R. onto itself and if the mapping (a{p) of ©X^ onto %_ is continuous. Familiar examples include the rotation group acting on the Cartesian plane and the Euclidean group acting on Euclidean space. The set ®(p) (that is, the set of all <r(p) where <r(E®) is called the o...
متن کاملExpanded Lie Group Transformations and Similarity Reductions of Differential Equations
Continuous groups of transformations acting on the expanded space of variables, which includes the equation parameters in addition to independent and dependent variables, are considered. It is shown that the use of the expanded transformations enables one to enrich the concept of similarity reductions of PDEs. The expanded similarity reductions of differential equations may be used as a tool fo...
